Step 1
To merge all original PDF documents in a single .pdf file:

Remark:
A doc-data.txt file will be generated
The sum of the file size of the splitted pages will exceed the that of the original .pdf file because any fonts embedded in the .pdf files may end up being duplicated in each .pdf file, taking up more space.
