Remark:
All versions of Lightworks are designed running on AMD and Intel chipsets and motherboards. Lightworks is multi-platform. It’s available for major operating systems such as Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows computer.

1. Operating System
Ubuntu 16.04

2. Recommended System Specs

  • Intel i7 chipset or faster, fast AMD chipset
  • 3GB RAM or higher
  • Two high-resolution displays (1920 x1080) or above
  • PCI Express graphics card (NVIDIA or ATI) with 1GB or higher
  • Separate media and system drives (these can be internal or external as long as the interface is suitably fast
  • Compatible sound card
  • 200MB Disk space for Lightworks installation

Instruction
Step 1 – Get the installer package – Download Lightworks .deb version for Ubuntu on;

Downloads – Lightworks for Linux 64-bit  

Download the software lwks-12.6.0-amd64.deb to Downloads Directory of Ubuntu 16.04

Step 2
On terminal run following command to install lwks-12.6.0-amd64.deb
⟫ sudo dpkg -i lwks-12.6.0-amd64.deb

Step 3
After installation completed, on terminal type lightworks and hit [Enter] to start Lightworks

Step 4
You have to enter usernamd and password
Then hit [Continue]

Remark:
You have to register on following website for using this software. It is FREE.

Step 5
Create a New Project
To create a new project enter its name e.g. New_Project

Use mouse pointer clicking [Create]

Click [Ok]

Step 6
To exit Lightworks – on keyboard hit [ALT+x]
